# AI impact extraction

> Automatically extract change impacts from meeting transcripts

Leap Change uses AI to analyze meeting transcripts and automatically identify potential change impacts. This saves time and ensures you don't miss important impacts mentioned in discussions.

## Supported formats

Upload transcripts in these formats:

* **VTT** - Web Video Text Tracks (from Teams, Zoom, etc.)
* **DOCX** - Word documents
* **TXT** - Plain text files
* **PDF** - PDF documents

## Extraction process

### Step 1: Upload transcript

1. Go to **Change Impacts**
2. Click **Import** → **From Transcript**
3. Select your transcript file
4. Choose the associated project

### Step 2: AI analysis

Leap Change processes your transcript and:

* Identifies statements about changes
* Extracts current and future state descriptions
* Suggests severity levels
* Groups related mentions

This typically takes 30-60 seconds depending on transcript length.

### Step 3: Review suggestions

You'll see a list of suggested impacts:

* **Title** - AI-generated title
* **Description** - Extracted details
* **Confidence** - How confident the AI is in the extraction
* **Source quote** - The transcript excerpt that triggered the suggestion

### Step 4: Accept or reject

For each suggestion:

* **Accept** - Creates the impact with the suggested details
* **Edit and accept** - Modify details before creating
* **Reject** - Discard the suggestion
* **Merge** - Combine with an existing impact

## Tips for better extraction

## Usage tracking

AI extraction uses your organization's AI quota. Track usage in **Settings** → **AskLeap Usage**.
