# Analyzing survey results

> Understand and act on survey responses

Leap Change provides real-time analytics on survey responses to help you understand stakeholder sentiment and readiness.

## Results dashboard

Access results from any survey:

1. Go to **Surveys**
2. Click on a survey
3. Select the **Results** tab

### Key metrics

* **Response rate** - Percentage of invitees who responded
* **Average rating** - Mean score across rating questions
* **Completion rate** - Started vs. completed surveys

### Response breakdown

View responses by:

* **Question** - See ratings for each question
* **Stakeholder** - Individual response details
* **Time** - Response trends over time
* **Segment** - Break down by department, group, or other attributes

## Rating analysis

For rating questions (1-10 scale):

| Metric           | Description                           |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **Average**      | Mean score                            |
| **Distribution** | How responses spread across the scale |
| **Detractors**   | Ratings 1-6 (indicating concerns)     |
| **Passives**     | Ratings 7-8 (neutral)                 |
| **Promoters**    | Ratings 9-10 (positive)               |

## Text response analysis

Open-ended responses are displayed with:

* **Word cloud** - Common themes highlighted
* **Full responses** - Read individual answers
* **Sentiment indicators** - Positive, negative, neutral tagging

## Filtering results

Slice data by stakeholder attributes:

* Department
* Location
* Influence level
* Stakeholder group
* Project assignment

This helps identify which segments need attention.

## Exporting data

Export results for external analysis:

1. Click **Export** in the results view
2. Choose format (CSV or PDF)
3. Select what to include:
   * Summary statistics
   * Individual responses
   * Charts and visualizations

## Acting on results

Based on survey insights:

1. **Identify at-risk groups** - Low scores indicate need for intervention
2. **Address common concerns** - Text responses reveal specific issues
3. **Update readiness levels** - Scores inform stakeholder readiness
4. **Plan targeted communications** - Reach groups with specific concerns
