What is a change impact?
A change impact describes:- What is changing (current state → future state)
- Who is affected (stakeholders, departments, roles)
- How severe the impact is (High, Medium, Low)
- What actions are needed to address it (mitigation plan)
Impact lifecycle
Change impacts move through these stages:| Status | Description |

Impact properties
Each change impact includes:Core fields
- Title - Brief description of the impact
- Description - Detailed explanation
- Current state - How things work today
- Future state - How things will work after the change
Classification
- Category - Type of impact (Process, Technology, Skills, etc.)
- Severity - High, Medium, or Low
- Influence level - How much stakeholders can affect the outcome
- Readiness level - Current preparedness to handle the change
Relationships
- Project - Associated change initiative
- Affected stakeholders - People impacted
- Unique ID - Auto-generated identifier (e.g., CHG-2026-00001)
