Survey responses directly influence stakeholder readiness levels in Leap Change, giving you an objective measure of change preparedness.

How it works

When a stakeholder completes a survey:
  1. Scores are calculated from their rating responses
  2. Readiness is determined based on score thresholds
  3. Stakeholder profile updates with the new readiness level

Readiness levels

LevelScore rangeDescription
Champion9-10Actively supports and advocates
Ready7-8Prepared to adopt the change
Aware5-6Understands but needs support
Resistant1-4Skeptical or opposed

Calculation method

For surveys with multiple questions:
  1. Average all rating question scores
  2. Apply the threshold table above
  3. Update the stakeholder’s readiness level

Example

A stakeholder answers three questions:
  • Question 1: 7
  • Question 2: 8
  • Question 3: 6
Average = (7 + 8 + 6) / 3 = 7 Result: Ready level

Historical tracking

Leap Change maintains a history of readiness:
  • Previous survey responses
  • When readiness changed
  • Trend direction (improving, declining, stable)
Access this in the stakeholder profile under Survey Responses.

Manual override

You can manually set readiness levels:
  1. Open the stakeholder profile
  2. Click the readiness level badge
  3. Select the appropriate level
  4. Add a note explaining the override
Manual settings are marked and won’t be automatically overwritten by future surveys.

Using readiness data

Readiness levels help you:
  • Prioritize outreach - Focus on resistant stakeholders
  • Segment communications - Tailor messages to readiness level
  • Track progress - Monitor readiness improvements over time
  • Report to leadership - Show quantitative readiness metrics
See the Stakeholder Impact Analysis report for readiness visualizations.
